First Sunday of the Month

We enjoyed another walking around Paris day. We headed to the Arc de triomphe and the Champs-Elysees. We were luck again that there was no rain. No sun either but a comfortable temperature all day. The Arc de Triomphe was so impressive but sad to realize the number of wars and conflicts in which the French were involved beginning with Napolean's conquests to Algeria in1952-1962. And a tribute to the resistance in the 1940's. The carvings are beautiful and evocative. Read more at :
