On the first Sunday of the month many museums are free but the lineups are crazy! You need to buy tickets in advance but then why go on a day that's free? There are other things special on the first Sundays. The Champs-Elysees becomes a pedestrian way and it has a really great feel to it. There was a great singer performing on the street and lots of activities for children along the way.
